SVPL established in 1947 is a wellknown company that has been in the business of producing vanaspati and refined soybean oil. The company’s brands ‘Telephone’ Vanaspati, ‘Vanashree’ (refined soybean oil) and ‘Uphaar’ (refined soybean oil) are household names throughout West Bengal. Mr Suneel Swaika is the CEO and director of the company (promoter group) while other directors are Mr Prasanta Chandra Sen (ex-chairman) and Mrs Arundhati Banerjee.
